What it does

  • Speak — TTS on a single Echo or broadcast across all of them.
  • Smart-home control — turn on/off, set brightness, set color, set color temperature on any device paired to Alexa (Hue, generic Zigbee on the Echo's hub, WiFi bulbs, plugs, thermostats).
  • Routines — trigger any Routine you authored in the Alexa app.
  • Volume & DND — per-device or all-at-once.
  • Capability provider — provides voice-tts and smart-home-control for other plugins to consume.

Install

Run in your terminal:

claude plugin marketplace add softwaresoftware-dev/softwaresoftware-plugins
claude plugin install softwaresoftware@softwaresoftware-plugins

Then in Claude Code:

/softwaresoftware:install alexa-mcp

Then run /alexa:setup to authenticate (one-time browser login).
